The US state department says it has removed what it called "inaccurate" maps of India and Pakistan from its website.

The maps failed to show the divided territory of Kashmir as a disputed region, Indian media reports say.

India and Pakistan have fought two wars over Kashmir and both countries claim the region in its entirety.

Most maps depict Kashmir as a disputed region provisionally split into areas under Indian and Pakistani control.

India Inc confronts slowdown from once-heady growth

We Invite all citizens and Organizations of india to join Second Freedom Struggle of India (Free from Corruption) Anna Hazare is one of India's well-acclaimed social activists. A former soldier in the Indian army, Anna is well known and respected for upgrading the ecology and economy of the village of Ralegan Siddhi which is located in the drought prone Ahmednagar district of Maharashtra state. The erstwhile barren village has metamorphosed into a unique model of rural development due to its effective water conservation methods, which made the villagers self-sufficient. Earlier, the same village witnessed alcoholism, utter poverty and migration to urban slums. Inspired by Hazare’s unique approach of salvaging a hopeless village, the state government has implemented the `Model Village’ scheme as part of its official strategy. Hazare is now synonymous with rural development in India.

"It is regrettable and condemnable. This government is bent upon crushing anyone who wants to protest against corruption"

A grand old man is leading a struggle against corruption in a country whose average age is relatively young. Not averse to taking a firm stand against the establishment for a just cause, he played a pivotal role in awakening the conscience of the nation!

The dream of India as a strong nation will not be realised without self-reliant, self-sufficient villages, this can be achieved only through social commitment & involvement of the common man." ‎"I appeal to you that let there be no violence in this movement.

We also appeal to you, young and old alike, to give eight days of your life to the nation - if necessary for a jail bharo andolan."
