As per census Kamrup has a population of 1,517,542 in 2011 out of which 778,461 are male and 739,081 are female. Population of Kamrup in 2020/2021 is 1,665,875(estimates as per aadhar uidai.gov.in feb 2019 data). Literate people are 995,319 out of 550,219 are male and 445,100 are female. People living in Kamrup depend on multiple skills, total workers are 628,954 out of which men are 428,492 and women are 200,462. Total 149,738 Cultivators are depended on agriculture farming out of 134,767 are cultivated by men and 14,971 are women. 42,121 people works in agricultural land as labor, men are 31,540 and 10,581 are women.
