As per census Mamit has a population of 86,364 in 2011 out of which 44,828 are male and 41,536 are female. Population of Mamit in 2019/2020 is 94,597(estimates as per aadhar uidai.gov.in feb 2019 data). Literate people are 60,191 out of 32,977 are male and 27,214 are female. People living in Mamit depend on multiple skills, total workers are 39,339 out of which men are 24,016 and women are 15,323. Total 26,937 Cultivators are depended on agriculture farming out of 16,765 are cultivated by men and 10,172 are women. 1,963 people works in agricultural land as labor, men are 1,111 and 852 are women. With great sorrow, I would like to bring the notice into the eyes of the Goverment that the road conditions linking from Rajiv Nagar-Tripura is extremely worst, with no goverment official to look into the matter.The road is extremely bad with lots of risks for the people travelling along the road.The students studying outside the locality (Rajiv Nagar area) are the worst sufferers.They could not reach their respected educational institutions within the stipulated periods.Many times the students have to go on foot for reaching a vehicle for 20-25 Kms.
Hope the concerned goverment would look into the matter and take immediate actions especially in helping to reduce the difficulties faced by the whole locality.
